Truth House
Children 3 to 6 Years
Our Children's House is specially designed for children aged 3 to 6 years. Montessori trained educators guide young Truth Seekers through hands-on activities, fostering independence, curiosity and a love for learning in a nurturing environment.

Knowledge House
Elementary I & II
S.M.A. provides a Christian based curriculum for elementary students ages 7 to 9 years. Our learning environment is designed to cater to the individual needs of each student. We encourage our students to grow in knowledge, promote self-care and teach environmental awareness.
Grace House
Middle School
Through a Montessori based approach, students ages 10 and up are offered a challenging and supportive learning environment. Our curriculum is infused with Christian principles and we focus on nurturing the whole child to develop as a student of knowledge through grace.
Our Approach
At Shiloh Montessori Academy, we use an educational method that Dr. Maria Montessori developed. This method has been implemented globally and has helped children develop learning skills for independence, self-regulating and creativity. It is a hands-on approach that teaches children through experiences and different teaching environments to find their way of learning. It is designed to be flexible, adaptable and stress-free to meet each child's individual needs.
Shiloh Montessori Academy
Pastor Laverne King is the founder of Shiloh Montessori Academy (SMA).. He and his wife Sheria have been pastoring Shiloh Baptist Church almost 20 years.
During this time they were challenged to build and operate a Christian Retreat Center to bring in the tired, weary and oppressed to be refreshed and re-fired. Today this retreat spans hundreds of acres, has worship centers, 340 beds for sleeping quarters, and has approximately 10,000 guest yearly experiencing God's glory.
The Lord gave Pastor Laverne vision to build a Christian Academy for St Helena Parish in Louisiana a decade ago prior to opening. This vision was to empower children in our community by giving them an opportunity to receive Christ-centered education and knowledge, while nurturing academic curiosity, spiritual development and character formation.
Shiloh Montessori Academy is governed by a committee of diversified and dedicated individuals that aspire to provide direction to cultivate future leaders. Rooted in the teachings of the Word of God, we aspire to equip each child with the knowledge, values and leadership skills needed to confidently navigate life's journey, while passionately spreading the transformative message of Christ.
